	All media inquiries email: jh@rwandaproject.org A W A R D S : • The Rwanda Project Web site received the 2003 Photo District News Photography Annual award in the web category. • Two students at the Imbabazi Orphanage, Fidele and Frederic, were given the 2003 Photo District News Photography Annual award in the student category and were also given the Canon Award for Outstanding Student Work. • The children’s work was highlighted in the UNICEF annual report, “2003 State of the World’s Children” as part of a major focus on child participation. • In 2002, The Rwanda Project was recognized in the international Photo Project Competition sponsored by the Santa Fe Center for Visual Arts. • In 2001, the Camera Arts Magazine Photo Contest, an international competition featuring professional and non-professional photographers from around the world, awarded 8-year-old Jacqueline "First Prize — Portraiture," (in the adult category) for her portrait of Gadi that was taken with her very first roll of film.
